Default What would you bring?

to a potluck for outing with 7 other moms?

On Tuesday, the tutors of my son's homeschooling group is getting together for our quarterly meeting to discuss the upcoming 6 weeks... and they are going to do a potluck before the meeting... and I'm drawing a blank on what to bring... any ideas? I haven't heard if there is going to be a "main" dish and with the low numbers, don't want to take something too huge that I would have a lot of left overs...

What would you bring?

thanks!

Is it lunch or dinner? If lunch I'd go with a hearty salad that could be a light lunch main dish or side dish. Something like this ...

California Quinoa Salad

That's tough! I like a theme or assigned portions of the meal (as in Jane takes salad, Lisa does grains, Ellie will do dessert, etc.)

I'd probably offer to bring rolls, butter and a garden salad with a home-made vinaigrette on the side.

I usually bring a salad of some sort. It is something I like and people usually don't think to bring it.

haha, Loni... you know me well...

ooh... forgot to mention - it is dinner! I wish they would just assign us a "category"... it would make it so much easier! haha A salad is a good idea... we are going back to paleo starting tomorrow, so at least there would be something I could eat...

Any other thoughts? I'm so bad at this stuff...

Bring something you want to eat and maybe in your crockpot. Like little meatballs in some yummy sauce!

With that many women, I would bring a chocolate dessert.

No leftovers for sure, and they can justify eating it since you brought it and they want to be polite.

I make this broccoli salad almost everytime I go to a potluck and most people love it, even me and I hate broccoli. http://everydaypaleo.com/a-dinner-me...lad/#more-2249 I use about half the dill it calls for and double the oil and balsamic vin. And I've never made it with carrots or scallions.

My first thought was wine.
I typically make a desert because I know I can whip it up quickly.
