I know you're a HUGE Alton fan. We've always enjoyed him and watched his shows but it was never more than just liking him.

This season he's a coach on "The Next Food Network Star" and boy oh boy are we in love with him now in my house.

What a great and endearing personality.

Any other Alton fans out there?


(We even enjoy him more than our hometown boy Bobby Flay!)

We've loved seeing him on there, too. The editing is leaving a bit to be desired sometimes, but for the most part, it's been really who he is. If you don't already, follow him on twitter. He's a riot - sometimes the biggest curmudgeon ever, and sometimes an absolute blast - and he speaks his mind. There's no one doing it for him.

I think the editing is hilarious. You can tell that he's a curmudgeon with a heart. He really seems to genuinely care for his team and I like that.

I love when he told Justin not to be cocky. Incidentally, I'm totally rooting for Justin to win the entire thing.

I love Alton too - he's a great host on Iron Chef America, and I love his own shows too. He just has a great, quirky, fun, personality. And he seems intelligent!

Another household that adores Alton... however since we don't have cable anymore, we don't get to see him... but he is still a go to for recipes, especially for hubby - will never do a turkey any way but Alton's way!

I know, right???????? I was beyond thrilled.

And now DH is asking if he needs to worry about me running off with Alton. All I do is talk about how much I love him.

I thought the way he stood behind his team - and how emotional he was was just great. Now..the worry about splitting the vote between Justin/Martie is a bit worrisome -but I have a feeling Martie might get a show regardless of how it works out. Just like the spice guy from last year (or 2 years ago).

DH and I kept saying how sad we were that one of the two best had to go in the name of taking one per team. We were thrilled to see her stay and I loved the way they did it. Fantastic.

I don't worry too much about splitting the vote, I really, honestly think Justin deserves this, though I didn't enjoy his pilot. But he should win and Marty should get s show as well.

This has been an awesome season.

I did think it was a bit dull, myself, but I enjoyed seeing some of the stuff they didn't show the first time around.

1. It reinforced how much I dislike Nikki. She is NASTY.

2. Reinforced how much I really like Judson and Emily.

3. Made me think that possibly Eric could have taken on Justin.

All in all, I think this was a GREAT season and I think they all could do well on the network. I can't wait to see Justin's show.

And I so seriously love me some Alton now.

Maybe I should scrap a page about it????

Been an Alton fan for many many years. I remember watching the first season of Good Eats and thinking, "There's just something about this guy..." I didn't watch Food Network Star this season, even though I love that show. I just couldn't ever find the time!

Celeste - we did, too. There were a few little moments, but for the most part, it was a BIG snoozefest.

But I'm really excited about Justin's show. Having Alton produce is means it's going to be a good quality show visually, and the possibilities of learning new stuff is going to be fun again. I have all but quit watching Food Network because I don't like dump and stir shows and we don't watch anything but Chopped and ICA any longer.
