Just change 9 to 10, and that has been the past 2 weeks in our house! DS1 is usually good about homework (hates it, but does it independently with a reasonable amount of complaining), but he has been feeling overworked lately. The feeling is justfied (I think his teachers misjudged the amount of time a long term math assignment would take) but I can't deal with any more of the non-stop whining about homework and a whole lot more!

The obvious...holiday shopping! My husband's family puts everyone's name in a hat and we have to draw who we have to buy gifts for. We always get stuck with (a current) significant other of a cousin (whom we have never met...and who we will likely not see next Christmas!) LOL!

taking family pictures.

My 7 year old son acted like a teenage girl with a bad attitude. Refused to smile or be happy.

Stupid local politicians who have to give soundbytes to EVERY freaking little thing there is out there, as opposed to buckling down to help typhoon victims.

The long drawn out bankruptcy proceeding going on with both the company my husband & I work for and also for the building the company is currently located in. Nothing quite like never knowing from morning to morning if today is the day we are locked out of the office or run out of money to pay us.

And a cop just showed up with a subpoena for the current CEO while I was typing this!!!!

Never a dull moment

the ex is in the hospital and 1 of my teachers doesn't want to cut me some slack on missing class. I've missed one class this entire semester (two if you count today).

That would irk me! Luckily we made the rule, no marriage = no gift. Yep, it sucks when my aunt and {now} uncle dated for 6 years; and my sister hates that her boyfriend {2 years} isn't in the gift exchange, but it's saved us at least 10 exes that were around for anywhere from 6 weeks to 8 months!

For me, oh the drama that is living within 1 mile of mother and mother in law, and 7/10 siblings. And unemployment games.

Oh this company is bizarre. They went into bankruptcy in Oct last year & cut everyone's salaries. They they moved into this building, which also went into bankruptcy proceedings in Oct, because the rent was low. Then they hired me in January to pick up odd jobs and are paying me twice the amount they cut from my husband's salary. So instead of saving $500 a month on him they are paying an additional $500 a month for me (I work part time)

He's worked here for almost 10 years and this company has reeled from crisis to crisis like a drunken sailor in a storm for the last 8.

We've both been looking for other jobs for the past year but are not having much luck unless he wants to commute 2 hours one way.

...working in the ER. I've learned that the sickest people with the most emergent conditions are usually the quietest and most undramatic.
