UGGGH...do we HAVE to do this?
Time change tonight...who wants to lose an hour? I HATE Daylight Savings...and the moron on the radio who went on and on about farmers needing more daylight to work...HELLO...daylight savings DOES NOT mean there will be more daylight hours...the sun is not out longer because we change our clocks. I'm thinking he had to be one of the same guys that I heard debating the proper pronunciation of Louisiana's capitol city. Honest...I had just moved to OKC, and was listening to the radio, and that was the debate...is it "Naw'lins", "New Or-leenz", "New Or-lee-uns", etc....meanwhile I'm banging on the steering wheel yelling "it's BATON ROUGE you nitwits!" (this went on for a good 20 minutes---the debate, not my yelling LOL)
OK, I rambled WAAY off topic with that one. Guess I'll go change clocks...blech.

Well it is a plus for me tonight. I work overnight tonight and it means that I get off an hour early.

The whole time change thing has never really bothered me. I just go with the flow. Of course, so many people are bothered by it that I wouldn't be averse to abolishing it once and for all.

It always rocked when I worked Mids, but working Days, it sucks. Glad I thought to take the weekend off though, but now I will be going to work in the dark again. Blah!

Maybe I am weird, but these things never bother me. I don't ever feel like I lose an hour. I also never have jet lag or anything like that. I must be weird. LOL

My boys always seem to have troubles adjusting their sleep patterns ... just one hour really throws them all off!

We don't change for another 3 weeks. I find as I've gotten older the time changes really do mess me up. My body is very dependent on schedules.
DH and his family are from New Orleans and they pronounce it New-orlins. It's the cajuns who pronounce it Nawlins. lol

I can't stand it. But we did ok this morning, because the kids had a skating competition and were exhausted. So they slept almost the full extra hour, so that means I did too LOL

Yeah, but no ocean either! That would kill me!
I am not happy today, I've had way too little sleep already thanks to Miss Sadie but then to have to get up for the day at 4:30am but it's really 3:30 for me on my birthday is not fun! This dog really needs to get that I need way more sleep than that!

Didn't bother me much at all since I didn't need to get up at a certain time. The girls slept until the normal 6/6:30 (non-adjusted time) and played in their room until 8 (non-adjusted time). So really, I got the same amount of sleep that I normally do.

But...it does mean that my boys will actually sleep in a little! They wake up with the birds and the sun, so if the sun comes up later, then so do my boys. (ok so its really not later, but the clock saying it is later makes me feel better, LOL). But this will only last for a month and then we are back to the sun coming up at 6.

See, I love the time change in the spring. Technically it *does* give the farmers an extra hour (I know, the amount of daylight doesn't change, I get that) because the sun rises an hour later, so the sunlight is available later in the day when they're trying to get their work done.
I'm not a farmer, just a person who HATES the dark - I don't get up until 7:30 so I think it's a waste for it to be light out at 6:30 and be dark by 7 at night, lol... |
