Unhappy Anyone have PSE 10?

We got a new computer a couple of weeks ago, and it has PSE 10 software. I installed it, created a lo, and later discovered that in my journaling, I had mispelled a word. That is only because when I am journaling, my font size is sometimes small enough that I can't see everything clearly. Anyway, my lo is locked, showing the lock icon. Is there anyway I can unlock the layers so that I can correct my spelling error? I always click 'save' when I close out my work, but this time, I clicked 'save as jpeg'. Was that the wrong thing to do? I thought it would still save my original with layers.

Sorry If you saved as Jpg, you are sunk
You need to save as PSD or Tif to keep the layers.
Is the journalling in a place where you could put a patch over it and redo?

When you are journalling , try clicking CTRL + and that will zoom you in - if that helps

Oh, well. Thanks for the info. I will remember to do that the next time,...on the journaling, that is. I don't know why I saved my lo in that way, when I've always done it different before. I still feel like a newbie at this. Lesson learned. Thanks!

I usually save a layered file as well as a flattened jpeg when I am scrapbooking. The layered file in case I want to edit, because I often find I made a spelling mistake or forgot to shadow an element. The jpeg so that I can upload and print.
