Default Show me your christmas tree

We put up our tree last week and I got some pictures taken sometime last week so I was thinking we could share photos of our trees on here. I posted them on facebook so some of you might have seen them already. If you have photos of yours share on here (Hopefully this has not been posted already...I did not see any threads yet)

Our tree:

some of my favorite ornaments:

ETA:tree skirt is missing because it needed to be washed still.

Crappy iPhone picture. And crappy tree - mine was ruined in the basement flood, but I didn't want to buy a new one until they go on clearance after Christmas... so this is a $29 Walmart pre-lit. And the kids decorated it. But they decorated it with love and excitement, so I think it is great.

I have a few different color themes that I rotate. Blue/silver, purple/gold, black/white... this is the first year for the pink, though.

Hmm.... I'm going to have to retake photos... all my photos are blurry - I think there is something wrong with my new glasses...

We have two trees... on the left it's the family tree - this year it's back to the country home theme... and the tree on the right is Jake's tree - in case you can't tell with the toys and markers tucked in... this keeps his hands off the family tree.

Angie it looks pretty good to me!! The pink is really pretty. I had a cheaper one from Walmart and never liked it because it just does not seem full enough. I got my tree last year at Lowe's. I love it. The branches are hinged so assembly is super easy and the tree does not fall apart like the one I had from Walmart did (the little individual branches always seem to lose pieces).

Rebecca that is such a cute idea to put up the little tree. That would keep the little ones busy and let them decorate as many times as they wanted. That was always my issue when the kids were little is they would want to take the ornaments off and re-decorate the tree everyday.

Our issue this year is the cats. Two of our cats think it is a kitty playground. One of them was caught laying in the branches about halfway up the tree and the other one keeps pulling ornaments off the tree to play with

Ignore my lack of tree skirt. This is from the day we put it up, and the skirt ((for some reason beyond my knowing...)) was at my mom's house.

Well, you can't really SEE it so much, because I was trying to get a fun twinkle light effect (which failed anyway!)...but here's ours!

o christmas tree by misfitinmn, on Flickr

I should also add that this was the day we set it up, we let our 3 year old decorate and I hadn't fully fixed that yet, so it's a little ornament heavy on the bottom!

Also, please try not to be jealous of our half torn apart walls and exposed 2x4 studs on the ceiling...not everyone can live the glamour life like us!

Sara I am familiar with that because we to have some exposed wood along with a few other things my husband and son were working on some repairs and improvements when they had the car accident in july. Im not sure when it will ever be done because my son was doing a good majority of it. My husband is trying but he is disabled and is going to need help with a lot of it. Im afraid we might end up having to hire someone to come in and help him with it now.

Yes, ours is real.

This is officially the last year we will buy a pre-cut tree from a little lot here in town, I got the word from Hubby, that he really misses going into the mountains to pick one!!! YAYAY! That makes me soooo happy. The kids will all be old enough next year to hike in the snow without much 'help"

Ours is a fake with hinged branches, after our 14 year old Building 19 manual fake put-together tree started looking ragged, and dropped as many needles as a real tree! We don't decorate according to color or theme-we put up whatever we like-shiny, country, modern, stuffed, sewn, metal, ceramic...

The kids did a really great job this year with it. I can't get a full picture of the tree until I DL a picture somewhere on the web, though.

Here's my tree, I don't know what's happened but the top looks weird. I'm going to buy a new one in January when they are a bit cheaper lol.

And a sparkle lights photo because I needed to try it -

It's purple and silver again this year as my living room is done in purple and I like it to match a bit!

It definitely isn't full enough, I just put extra ornaments and garland on to cover. LOL

Our tree. Right not there are only non-breakable ornaments on it so it looks really empty.

And the toys under it already are the kids. They've been switching out which toys are under the tree every day. Apparently they don't like the tree to have empty space at the bottom.

I put a bunch of gifts under the tree already, for the first time ever. (Up until now the kids couldn't be trusted not to open them, but now my youngest is 7 so I think it's ok. I didn't put names on the boxes just in case.)

I told them "no peeking" and my daughter, who is 12, goes "BUT ITS NOT FOR AN ENTIRE WEEEEEEK". Haha.

Here's a quickie pic - I haven't hauled my tripod out yet to take a nice picture with the lights all pretty. And the tree isn't crooked, evidently my camera was!
