Default Wacom Tablets - Educate me please...

I'm thinking of buying a Wacom tablet but I'm clueless what to get. So please anyone who have one tell me what you like and don't like about yours...

I have read reviews but I want to know what my fellow SSD scrappers have to say

Thanks in advance!

I don't have it, but the Bamboo is one that's getting rave reviews lately. I don't think it's necessary to get the bigger ones (Intuous or Cintiq), a Bamboo will do exactly what you need it for.

I personally have the smallest Graphire4 (they've replaced Graphires with Bamboo), and I loooove it. I will probably need to get a new one soonish (mine is nearly 3 years old), and will get the smallest Bamboo. The surface area is small, but you get used to where the points line up on the screen, and it fits nicely on my desk without taking up a lot of extra space (as it is, I think it's 8.5x8.5 on my desk, but the usable surface is about 4x6).

I have a small graphire and love it... My pen is starting to go t hough and if you read a while back the mouse crapped LOL.. I'm afraid of the bamboo. Odd as it is I LIKE the slick surface area of the graphire & don't know if I'd like the "rougher" paper like texture of the bamboo surface.

We checked the local computer store today and so far I like the bamboo fun medium and the graphire4 bluetooth version. So size isn't really important when it comes to tablet? i wouldn't want a huge tablet too but i'm thinking of something bigger than a 4x6 workable surface.

La I only saw boxes so I wouldn't know about the texture...lol!

lol

yeh imo size doesn't really matter. I mean I Draw all my bits.. I've drawn out full 12X12 patterns on the small graphire. Bigger would just annoy me I think. There have been times I thought about getting a bigger one... but really, it's pointless.. save yourself the space

I have Bamboo fun (pen and mouse) and I love it. The small surface doesn't bother me, I don't have much space to work. It's done wonders for my wrist, that's mainly why I got it, I use it all the time in PSE and the web. It gives me more control when I'm editing pictures or erasing something. Can't write with it though, need more practice, looks like a 5 year old did it! LOL

I have the small Bamboo Fun. I didn't want anything bigger cause I use it a lot on the sofa with my laptop. Didn't want something huge to lug around.
