Default TOU Question

I am still getting familiar with the TOU for each designer. It's hard keeping up! Was wondering, if a kit says "PU/S4H", can it be used for freebies? Or is each designer different in that aspect, and I need to email each one? I was working on our calendar area and made a few holiday themed and daily themed (like dr appts, dental appts, etc...) little things I'm gonna print and laminate and put a magnet on them, and I thought that would be fun to add on my blog. It would be a flattened PDF for people to print and do the same thing with. Typically, is that allowed? Or again - each designer has a different opinion? The images are about 1.5" circles/squares.

Typically designers frown on that sort of freebie being given using their kits. I never allowed that under my TOU as a designer. S4H to me meant that someone could hire you to create such a thing for them, but that you couldn't just give it freely to everyone. Really though, contacting each person might be best as many people translate the TOUs in different ways.

Thanks for your response =) I guess I will just post photos of the finished project and keep the cuteness to myself, haha!

Maybe you could offer it to the designer who might want to share it with her fans? That way, you could mention it on your blog, but send them to her FB or blog to get it?

Oh that's an idea! Only thing is I was going to use several kits. Maybe if I make them all from kits by the same designer, hmm? Thanks for the idea =)

Yeah, I'd double check with the designers first so you don't do a whole lot of work for nothing.

Well I've already got some of them done, and I was doing it just for me at first then thought about sharing them, so I think I'll just finish out this set just for myself and later when I do hybrid type stuff I'll talk to the designer whose kit I wanna use and see if she would like to give it to her fans if she likes it =)

Yeah, Sherri is pretty spot on. Most of the designers here do not allow anything made with their products to be given away for free. Even with S4H, we don't allow anything to be sold or distributed online. Our products may only be used to create 100% custom, one of a kind items/pages for a client directly.

Hope this helps,
Robin
