April Blackout Challenge: April 1 - April 8 (Week One)

I'm posting this thread here in our general forum so there's not confusion within the bingo forum what you need to post & where.

I went through earlier this week (us Babes get to see the card a couple of days beforehand ) and got myself organized for April Blackout.

I made an April Bingo folder on my hard drive and then made a subfolder for each challenge. I have a To Be Used (kits) folder, a To Be Scrapped (photos) folder, and a Kit + Photos folder on my EHD so I went through those to see what I could move over into my challenge subfolders. I also created Notepad files inside my challenge subfolders in case I had an idea for a page but no photos or kit yet or if it was a journaling challenge and I already knew what I wanted to say.

I'm going to work through all my subfolders that already have a kit & photos this week (Spring Break for my kids) when I have way more time than usual so I have the rest of the month/time for the harder prompts.

Hopefully that made sense!

I don't have a system. But I always take a piece of paper and write down every prompt. When I think of something to scrap, I write it down next to the coordinating prompt. It can be a kit or template I want to use, or a story I want to tell or photos I want to scrap.

I always print the Bingo card and write down ideas on each square for what I might do for each one.

I save the bingo card to a a blank photoshop canvas and put all my notes and ideas on it. if I run out of room i just increase the canvas side.

This is for "Showcase your clustering skillz." That's so not my scrapping strength! But instead of deleting a bunch of element placeholders from the template right off the bat, which is what I usually do, I tried to add some extra layers.

I did this for the park or playground visit prompt. This challenge came right on time. I just had to scrap this photos I took last week. I kinda love how it turned out.

I'm super excited to try the blackout challenge! I want to encourage you all... it can be done! Years ago (2010 I think it was) ScrapMatters had a contest called The Queen of Scrap in the month of May. The idea was to scrap your heart out and whoever did the most layouts was the queen. It was so much fun! I did 168 layouts that month!!! Here is the double page I scrapped about it:
