Default what should I use my Michael's coupon for?

I am perplexed now. If the scrapbooking stuff is already on sale, I won't be able to use my 50% off coupon for that stuff . . . I feel it would be wrong to not use the coupon . . . I will have my kidlets with me so I can't really wander around aimlessly . . .

Martha Stewart Flower Kit? I think they're pretty.

Or rubber stamps? Do you do any embossing? Need any ink pads? I don't think that the Versa Mark Dew Drops are on sale and it's a great thing to use a coupon for. A pack of 4 is normally $9.99. (You can use them to ink the edges of albums.)

50% off this week??? Wow!

Are you looking to buy something big with this? Maybe an embellishment center by MM would be awesome if you are doing the hybrid thing... you'll want a good organization system!

If you aren't wanting to spend alot like that, maybe a good quality album for your layouts? Or maybe a Xyron Cheetah for sticking your digi pages into the bracket albums (if you are doing that)....

Mikkel... unless Michael has changed their policy (or Martha stopped being greedy), they don't allow coupons with MS products... maybe that changed though. When Martha Stewart released her stuff it was way over priced seeing that it was all done before, and she had a contract with M's saying that customers were NOT allowed to use their 40 or 50% offs on her products. Ticked LOADS of people off!!

Ooooh yeah! Ribbon is good too! If you don't want to use a 50% of one piddly roll, maybe go with the American Crafts rolls. They are $10 (here in Canada anyways), but come with 6 rolls of ribbon! Fun colors & patterns too!

Yup they have! I thought I couldn't use it for that too but then when I went to the store to ask (I just bought a few packs of her 5x7 cards to make our engagement announcements) they said if the coupon doesn't specifically say that you cannot use it for MS products...you can use it! I bought 6 packs of those cards/envelopes for 40% off each!

oh good ideas, thanks! i don't think I have any ink that would be good for edges . . . pretty sure I never felt the need to buy brown . . . the smart thing would be for me to check what I have before I go . . .

Ribbons would be good too.

Now I just have to convince my kids to go . . .

I will have to see what that MS flower kit is.

I know what you mean about checking inventory in your house before you go to the store. I've bought duplicates of MANY ribbon spools and ink pads before! I end up having to exchange them.

I ended up getting $1.20 off my purchase of something because everything I got was on sale.

I got some of the 6/$1 ribbon and some of the ColorBox inks (6 colors for $5.99).

I got the Cheetah with the 40% off too. Well, that and the Cutterpede Mini. I popped into a different Michaels last night, so decided to do the "I don't have my coupon" thing and grab the Cheetah too.

That's the one I have, well I still need to get a refill for it so maybe I'll use one of my coupons on that. And I definitely want to pick up some of the 6/$1 ribbon and maybe the ColorBox inks that Tracy mentioned. I have two 40% off coupons since I buy two Sunday papers for coupons for the Grocery Game so I'll have to decide what to spend the other one on!

The embellishment center is pretty expensive. But totally worth it with the 40% coupon (coupons are how I justify 90% of my craft purchases, lol "But honey everything was on sale!").

Scrapbook.com lists it at $79.99, so I would bet that's what Michael's has it for. It's at least $60 otherwise I probably would've bought it

I'm not even joking when I say I don't know HOW I paper scrapped before I had the cheetah. That thing rocks my socks! Now I need the 4" one for my bigger stuff.

Really??? I didn't get one but I'll get another 40% off next week... I wonder if I still have my 50% off.

Why is the cheetah so great? because it's easy? and you can get all the edges? I was just planning to use mod podge, but I don't know how well that works.

It's just easy to cover a bigger area. I never use modpodge as glue, only as a sealer (which is just personal preferance). I have the 2" cheetah, and I put together an 8x8 accordian album last night in like 10 minutes. And I didn't run out of my tombow tape runner, or have a zillion blue tabs from the square mounts. It's just a million times easier for me.
Modpodge is great and all, but when I don't feel like making a mess, the cheetah is awesome.

Ugh, our Michaels around here suck. I had a 50% off coupon and thought I'd get a full size Cutterpede this week. I didn't see them there last week, but I thought that was probably because a lot of stuff was sold out with the big sale. Today I ask and it turns out they've never carried them, just the Cutterpede Mini. They also don't carry any chipboard other than the pre-made chipboard embellishments they have, and no 4 inch Cheetah. Boooooo!

So, I got myself the Cutter Bee retractable knife with my coupon this week. I wanted that, but wanted a full size cutter more, grrrr. I think I need to do some scrap shopping next time I'm south of the border.

Dammit, look what you paste eaters have done to me! I stopped in at the LSS and bought a couple of the Maya Road mini chipboard albums (one arrow and one tag) and a couple other things. I swore I wasn't going to go down this road! *shakes fist*
