Default Homemade Granola Bar Recipe?

Does anyone have a killer granola bar recipe to share? I've been DYING for a power bar (trek bar) from Great Harvest Bread Co, but I'm sure they're filled with not-so-healthy stuff (even if they DO have lots of yummy peanut butter in them). Plus, at $2 ea, I'd rather make a big batch of something healthy that I can munch on any time.

So lay it on me!

Oh yum! That sounds so good! Thanks kcb! I'm gonna pass this on to my personal chef (aka Jeff). I bet we have most of this stuff on hand.

Emily Merritt posted this recipe a while back on FB. I love it, but then I always eat so much of it I get sick, lol. That's why I stick to the individually wrapped bars.

YUM! That sounds good, too, Kellie! Thanks!

Jeff made me some this morning that were a combination of a few different recipes that he tweaked. They're yummy!

Is the zofran helping you a lot Libby? I'm still trying to survive on pretzels, eggo's, and chicken noodle soup.

It really does help, Col! The only thing is that it makes me sleepy, so I only take 1/2 a pill at a time. It definitely takes the edge off the nausea though, and I can at least nibble a little bit.

I've got a killer headache today though that's about to send me over the edge. Blech.

My mom got migraines with various pregnancies (I can't remember which), and she swore by a cold dark room and a cold compress across her forehead. Also, breathing into a paper bag apparently helps open the blood vessels too.

I'm glad the zofran is helping you! I'm very close to calling in and seeing if I can get some too.

Kellie,

Do you cook the quick oats first?

I hope you can get some relief, Col. Morning sickness is so miserable. I'm hoping that we can both kick it as we go into the 2nd trimester!

Thanks for the tip about the dark room and cold compress. I'll give that a shot!
