Default Socks with loafers: yay or nay?

I will admit that I never graduated Fashion 101. I recently bought a pair of brown and a pair of black penny loafers to wear with jeans. Socks with them or no socks?

I'd do dress stockings..like thicker hose type..kwim?

I can't stand if the inside is leatherish on my bare feet..won't it get slick if you sweat? I mean if they were sandals that's one thing but I vote socks

Ditto for the dressier socks. I hate the feel of shoes like that with no socks!

I have sweaty feet, so as much as I would LOVE to wear shoes like with no socks, it's a no go for me. But they do have tiny socks that barely show, or like Meg said, those thicker hose type socks that don't really look like socks. I hate dress socks, they're never thick enough for my taste.

No socks. You can get those nude slipper sock things (like what you try on shoes with) to wear under them.

Im probably weird but Id probably wear pantyhose or at least knee high pantyhose if you wear them with pants and Id get nude ones at that. I hate dress socks and think loafers look weird with socks anyhow.

There are thin socks called "trouser socks" that look good. Thicker than knee high pantyhose and thinner than socks.

Hi all,

really depends on the dress style you're wearing. I typically go sockless or use loafer socks when wearing shorts. and even pants when its spring/summer time. Other times, i just wear fashionable socks if its a little more on the frigid side.

im going to vote for no socks! I try to avoid wearing socks at all costs and will only wear them with my tennis shoes or boots.

Socks ok with pants. NOT with shorts (although I guess mostly men wear them with shorts).
