Help?
I'm really frustrated.
I've got a layout that I just can't get to resize properly. I'm using PSE6 and when I resize the layout one way the elements become grainey but you can read the text. When I resize another way the elements are crisp but you can't read the text. I'm so confused. this is resized using Fruit Loop Sally's resize action (which is what I almost always use) and then saving for web. this is just resizing it to 600x600 and then saving for web. Is there anything I can do to get a nice crisp layout AND readable text? TIA!

When you resize what do you set your resolution at? For a 600x600 for the web, I use 72 dpi. So far, I've had no problems resizing... HTH.

Make sure you flatten first then maybe try saving @ 500x500 instead to see if it's any crisper since you won't have to optimize it as much at that size

Are you flattening before you do any resizing?

In PSE6, here's what I would do. Duplicate your image, then flatten it. Then resize 600x600, 72 dpi. Then run the unsharp mask at 85, 1, 4. Then adjust saturation to 9. Then "Save for Web" and click the little arrow on the right under the buttons at the top of the Save for Web screen and set it to 150 kb. Click okay a couple of times until you've saved it, and that should work great!
