Default Ipad Apps?

My husband bought me an iPad... for Valentine's... and gave it to me yesterday. Yeah, that man can never contain surprises. In the 10 years we have been together I do not remember ever getting a big surprise on the "correct day" lmao...

I am not an Apple girl - never have been, but have been wanting an ipad for a long time (but am never ok with spending that much money on myself with 4 little girls running/crawling around. Haha). Sooo any suggestions on apps you can't live without? I saw the post for kids apps but I don't want kid stuff

I have to admit that my favorite apps are for very specific uses and probably not things that most people would care about too much.

I have an app that syncs with my desktop recipe application (LOVE IT!!!).
I use the DishTV app that works with the sling adapter on our Dish receiver.
I have an app that keeps track of the minutes/hours I spend on my little editing job.
Weight Watchers stuffs.

So . . . other apps that I use and love:
Evernote
Kindle
Paper by Fifty Three - if you like sketching and doodling

Lol. I'm not much help. How fun that you got an iPad though. Enjoy it! And, my husband is the same . . . I think I've only had one gift that was a surprise during our entire relationship, and that was for our 10th Anniversary. I usually end up opening my gifts straight from the Amazon box on the same day they arrive. Lol.

You will love it! I never go anywhere without mine! Make sure you get a good case for it, I have the BookBook for iPad and its awesome.

Most of my apps are photography business related (Preveal, Dropbox, Square, Golden Hour, PayPal, Square etc) but I do have quite a few other apps that I use constantly.

iBooks/Kindle
Pandora One
Netflix
Hulu Plus
Pinterest
Clickin' Moms
Shazam

Thanks ladies!
I am enjoying it so far Drawsomething is so much more fun on there than my phone haha. My husband bought a rinky-dink case with it and I told him to take it back. I was at Sam's today and bought this, it looks similar to the BookBook. It's not fancy, kinda man-ish but it's very functional and I love it

The kindle app - I don't have to have a kindle to use? It's just gonna let me use the iPad as a kindle or what? *confused* lol.

*heading off to check out a few of those apps*
Already have SSD bookmarked in my forums on there! Yay! haha.

Yep, you can use the Kindle app to use your iPad as a Kindle. That's what I do with my iPhone.

No Kindle needed to use the app! When you purchase an ebook through Amazon you can choose to send it directly to your Kindle for ipad app. I do have a Kindle but haven't used it even once since getting the iPad, I actually prefer reading on the iPad over the Kindle anyway!
