Ok my 14yo ds yesterday was asking me what he was MISSING by being homeschooled instead of going to the public middle school. His replies are in parentheses.

I told him well they have wood shop (Oh I'd like to take that!) but your dad has a great work shop and you could build anything your heart desires and you wouldn't have to wait to use the machines...plus you have a teacher one on one with you teaching. (oh yeah that's right)...

Well they have ceramics (Oh that would be fun) ... but your next door neighbor has a kiln and would be happy to teach you. (ok that works)

Well they have homework (let's don't talk about that ok?)...

And you miss getting your picture in a yearbook...(mom! We don't need yearbooks you make us MONTHLY books!)

So I guess you're ok with this now? (Yeah I'm good)

........so any good lines out of your teenagers??....

The only thing that ever comes out of my 13 year olds mouth is "where is the food" or "we don't have any food", Even though my fridge is always stocked up. Sigh.
