Holy cow!
I have been really bad about printing my scrapbook pages. I started scrapping less than 2 years ago, and already have a ridiculous amount of pages on my HD. Anyway, I decided at the end of the year I'd print up a book for each of the kids with all of the pages I've done of them. I went into Shutterfly this morning and selected all of Jennah's pages - 259 of them - to upload to an album for her book. It has been almost an hour, and 9 of them have uploaded so far. I can tell this is going to take an insane amount of time! Estimated time remaining 18 hours 25 minutes LOL

haha.. yeah... I haven't printed since april... and when I finally loaded them up it and found out how much it was going to cost to print... hubby wouldn't like that, so I'm going to have to space them out through out the year... Luckily, my everyday layouts, I put in 3d ring binder... but I LOVE it when I see my scrapping in book form...

I have hundreds of pages and maybe have printed 10% of them. I just sent off a book to be printed from Shutterfly of our christmas 2010. It's out of order but it was what I had ready

OMG, I wonder how much it will cost. You just made me check, I started scrapping in June and have 240 pages. I think I should slow down, lol. Hopefully it doesn't really take 18 hours to upload!

I was thinking that it would be cheaper to do it in book form than printing page by page, which is what I did when I first started. I think they were $1 per 8x8 and $2 per 12x12. I went with 8x8 to save money. I was really hoping that the book would turn out cheaper, but who knows!

It says its down to 12 hours remaining, but it has done 108 of them already, so I bet it won't take that long. I'm definitely going to start uploading the layouts as I go.

Just upload the book and wait for the sale. They always have coupons going out. Just recently they had 50% off coupon. But most coupon is only valid for basic 20 page book. Anything over that, you pay full price.

LOL - I upload as I go, that way I know they are stored somewhere else too in case my computer crashes (plus I have them on a DVD and flash drives- call me paranoid!).
I sat down once and figured out which would be cheaper at Persnickety (my favorite place to print) and the books were actually not much more expensive or maybe even less than printing them all out (plus figuring the cost of buying the albums/page protectors). I love the look of the books! |

Also a note on Shutterfly - you can stack coupons... so do a google search to see if there are more coupons out there...

Yeah, I've seen the coupons - I used one for a book last Christmas for my holiday album/book. But it was only for the 20 pages, and of course my book is going to be wayyyyy more than that this time!

I printed 150 layouts in November. That's how many I had done since February.
I've gotten into the habit of printing at Persnickety at least once a year so it's a little more manageable. |

Shutterfly's coupons are for whatever size you have...I print 12x12 and my books are never less than 80 pages. I always wait for a 50% coupon before I print.
