It's in the Middle East. The US has a number of military bases in it, so a lot of military people have been there.

But I don't think he has any photos because they wouldn't allow them to take photos during his entire deployment |

My husband went to Kuwait last year to design some buildings on base. He didn't take many photos but it's fun to see there is a common ground here.

The Kuwait Towers would be necessary for sure, it is basically Kuwait in an image (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuwait_Towers). I would expect also lots of camels - seriously they are every where there-, a kangaroo mouse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kangaroo_mouse), camel spider (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solifugae) - though those are kind of gross looking. Really camels are important. I would expect the Islamic Crescent Moon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_and_crescent) and probably a mosque. Kuwait has some very interesting shaped water towers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuwait_Water_Towers). Maybe some Kuwaiti dinar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuwaiti_dinar).
Some geography & recent history of Kuwait (with an obvious US emphasis as it's what I know), if that helps. It is bordered by Iraq & Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf. It's a very small country, basically an hour gets you anywhere in the country. 90% of the population lives in Kuwait City. During the winter they have camping season, where the men set up these elaborate tent cities for the more traditional way of living. In the 1990s, Iraq invaded Kuwait and killed a large percentage of their military and took over the country. The US and other countries came in to help liberate Kuwait (the first Gulf War) and now there is a lot of foreign military presence in Kuwait with the US military having many bases of their own. Operation Inherent Resolve (the current main Middle East campaign) is headquartered in Kuwait. It's a rich country, so their architecture is a mixture of elaborate and traditional. They have a lot of traditional Souk Markets (the traditional shopping markets) and a lot of modern western malls. Picture of their camping season, it looks really neat: (https://www.bing.com/images/search?v...=19&ajaxhist=0) I could email you some of my pictures if you are interested. Thank you! Is it ok if we make it a Middle East collection. Wich countries would you like to see in this Middle East?
And what culture specifics can we try to add? What do you ladies prefer to name it Persian gulf or Middle East?

So exciting! I think Middle East would probably be best that way it can be used for like Jordan and other countries that aren't on the Persian Gulf.

Some specifics- camel Burj Khalifa palm trees maybe a cut-out or "flair" shaped like the Palm Jumeirah dates. haha, I'm not really sure how dates factor in on a scrapbook page, but I do know that whenever we were invited to a UAE or Saudi event, we were served dates on arrival and sent home with giant packages full of them.
