Default Help! "Duck" cake

DS insists upon having a "Rubber Ducky" birthday for his 4th birthday party next weekend... so I'm looking for some ideas for cake or cupcakes (and decorations and whatever else) that aren't too babyish. I'm having a bear of a time so far

Oh yeah... and let's not forget that I'm craft-tarded, so nothing too complex or my head might implode, mmmkayyy?

Thanks chicks! (Pun maybe intended...)

If you were crafty, you could do this one.

Maybe something simple like this one? You'd just need to borrow the cake pan from somewhere.

Or maybe buy tiny rubber duckies and put them on top of cupcakes?

What about cupcakes with yellow icing, mini-chocolate chips for eyes, and some sort of orange chip (maybe some confetti type sprinkles??) for a bill and tail?

Hopefully this isn't too babyish... these are photo of my kiddo's party when he turned one. I had rubber duckies floating in the punch bowl and got rubber ducky from Oriental Trading that were dressed with a party hat, but they have loads of different dressed up ducks in any theme. On a wall I had photos of kiddo through the year and then made a banner that said that it was sponsored by Aflac and duck tape.

I had the bakery spray on some bubbles and then added rubber ducks that I got at the craft store:

Then we had cupcakes and I put little ducky toothpicks in them and sprinkled yellow sugar crystals. My mom made duck cookies...

Oh! So I was going to make cupcakes, frost them blue, and print up some ducks to attach with picks....

Then he tells me he wants a Spiderman birthday instead. I wouldn't have let him switch but then this way I was able to just order a freaking cake. Nuts to this crap! LMAO!!

Thanks girls for your help! I'm planning a baby shower for my brother's girlfriend so I'm going to make them then... so your help was not lost!

Glad you figured it out. I was going to suggest frosting the cake blue and then putting a rubber duck on the cake and then add some lilypads in green frosting
