Just wanted to share my son's yearbook page.

I kinda put it off because I just did not really want to deal with it to be honest. I knew it was coming time to get the pictures together and the guy who was handling it at his school called my daughter today to tell her it needed to be done this week. So I put some pictures together and a little paragraph about him and my daughter went down to help plan the page with the yearbook supervisor. It is not exactly what I would have done myself but it is nice. I got the copy today. Anyhow just wanted to share. The school also put together a really nice photo package for us. He looks so handsome in his yearbook photo. Made me really sad to see it but happy at the same time. Anyhow here is the page. The one of him in the tux is his yearbook photo. It is hard to believe he would only have four months til he graduates.

Thanks everyone. There were a few photos they did not use I really wanted them to but it is really nice and I appreciate the gesture so much. The photography company sent an 11x14, 4-8x10, 4-5x7, 6-3 1/2x5 and like 24 wallets as well. It was really nice of them to do that. We were going to place an order but they said they have a special package for situations like ours that they give to the parents. The senior photo was taken about a week prior to the accident and except for a handful I took of him in his truck/next to his truck and with our dog they were the last ones. They are also giving us a copy of the yearbook and supposed to be doing something at his graduation ceremony as well. I originally wanted to do that but now I am not sure I would be able to handle seeing all his friends walk across the stage and all the happy/proud parents there at the ceremony.

What a bittersweet page Hopefully over time looking at his pictures will make you more happy than sad. I am so sorry that your son was taken away from you. I think this page will remind his classmates to appreciate every day they have, because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Hugs.

I cried when I got the proofs in the mail. Like literally bawled. It just dawned on me as I was looking at them it was the last photo of him. (I later found I had a handful taken after them still on my camera that I had forgotten about). I went through all my photos a few months back though and made a Matthew folder where I put a copy of all of his photos. This way when I was copying the photos to the flash drive it was not as hard as looking through so many folders. It also helped to choose the photos when we did the marker. But it comes and goes there are times when I can reminise with family and friends and we can laugh about him and be happy but then other times just seeing a picture or hearing a certain song will make me cry.
