Default What's your favorite...

scary movie to watch during Halloween time? I don't like the yucky gorey stuff but I always like to watch a good scary movie around this time of year.

DH and I watched Stir of Echoes last night which I hadn't seen in a while and it's a really good scary ghost story.

I think World War Z will be added to my list of faves this year b/c it's the first movie in a long time that had me truly freaked out while I was watching it.

The Shining. I think we'll be adding WWZ to our list too!

I used to love Something Wicked this Way Comes as a kid.

In the past, I was alllll about Let the Right One In (Original, not the remake Let Me In) and the movie The Orphanage. Now, I don't really see any horror films-- they all kind of stress me out.

Oh Sixth Sense is a good one too. And The Others with Nicole Kidman..

DH and I watched The Awakening on Netflix the other night and it was pretty good. I'd never heard of it but we actually liked it.

I always like to watch Casper and Hocus Pocus too with the kids..although Avery is going through this phase where he is scared of everything so he may not watch them this year.

3 favourites: Sleepy Hollow, Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride. Only the fist one is kinda scary, I know.

Paranormal Activity... all of them... though I think the first and second are best. Talk about being freaked out!

We love the Grudge (not the Japanese version, the computerized American version lol)
Nightmare on Elm Street, of course.. the first one.. the sequels are all corny!

for a fun family-friendly scary movie, I LOVE Earnest Scared Stupid. Has anyone else seen that one? My siblings and I watched it all the time as kids, now I watch it a couple times during the fall/Halloween season with my kids Hocus Pocus and Casper too!

Hocus Pocus is my must-see Halloween movie. We watch zombie movies all year long, but my favorite of those is currently World War Z (seriously, that doctor/scientist zombie in the lab is the creepiest.zombie.ever.)

I'm not a big scary movie fan otherwise. The Ring scared me sh*tless when I saw it in the theater, but not when I watched it on DVD. I used to like movies like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street, but they just don't do it for me anymore. Zombies though... I love zombie movies.

The Strangers is seriously the scariest movie I've ever seen. Ugh, I try not to even think about it unless I'm watching it(with dh of course), then I'm always so freaked out for days afterwards. I love scary movies!! It isn't too gory, but it's edge of your seat!!!
