Default RQOTD: Weird Food Combinations

What are some of the weird food combinations that your kids just love? I took my son Hayden to McDonald's yesterday and he was eating his lunch and he started dipping his apples in his barbecue sauce.

Yeah... kiddo dips his chicken nuggets in the caramel sauce that use to come with the apples - and actually that was pretty good... haha

But if it can be dunked - it will be in ranch dressing or ketchup... everything from graham crackers to apple slices... and blueberries - he use to eat blueberries on top of mac and cheese... that one I didn't try...

Eliana wanted a few of my fries when we went out to lunch this weekend... and then proceeded to dip them in her mashed potatoes before eating them! Not gross or anything, just funny.

She will eat almost anything if I give her ketchup or Ranch, so we have lots of condiment love over here.

Hmmm... no weird food combinations here. They think it's weird when I put sliced grapes in our tossed salad though.

I don't really have any strange food combinations myself... or anything that I think others would find strange anyway. My husband has a few quirks like cream cheese and jelly sandwiches. I don't find that so strange now but I used to. He also puts chips on his egg salad sandwiches or tuna sandwiches, any soft sandwiches really, to add crunch. My daughter put fries on her burger just tonight at dinner.

My boys like peanut butter on their pancakes, but I don't consider that weird. The weird part is when my 8 year old dips his peanut-butter-topped pancake into maple syrup. He also dips hard boiled egg whites into maple syrup.

My son caught my mom spreading butter on Oreo cookies. But she will put butter on anything and has been known to just eat butter by itself. Boggles my mind!

JP really likes Twizzlers dipped in barbecue sauce, especially if we're at Quaker Steak & Lube. I have to confess, I'm the one that got him hooked on it. LOL!

Devin's pretty picky, but if you let him have honey for dipping, he'll probably eat it. Oh--and he swears he hates zucchini, but he'll eat it no problem if there's bacon involved.
