Exclamation 10 pt hybrid challenge ideas - win a $20 gift certificate!

Ok chickies! The designer call and our anniversary has distracted me from getting ready for the portfolio tomorrow and now I need your ideas for our 10 point hybrid challenge.

Post your ideas for what you think we should do for March's 10 pointer (I'll need an image(s) of the project and a challenge in your words)and if I choose your idea, I'll send you a FREE kit from the shoppe!

I'll be posting later tonight (about 6-7 hours from now), so get those ideas in here soon.

Robin

Kissing Balls (pomanders):

I did this one previously:

All you need is a paper punch, some printed papers from your fav digi kit, a Styrofoam ball, and some straight pins.

You punch out a bazillion and one shapes, work it a little with your fingers to give it some shape and then pin them onto the ball with plain pins or pins with pretty pearls if you want the pearl look. Then when it is covered to your satisfaction you can either place it on a stand, in a bowl, or hang it with ribbon.

Think outside the box with a hybrid template, and turn it into something other than its original purpose.

For example, a cupcake box:

became this:

A milk carton template became a spooky house:

Gotta say, I've been wanting to do this one for a looong time and it seems PERFECT for March. (crossing my fingers!!!)

the challenge:
LEAF it to the patterned papers! Are you in love with all those gorgeous spring-inspired papers as much as I am? Why not showcase them and make a gorgeous centerpiece to display all Spring long. Using this tutorial on Everyday Mom Ideas as inspiration, make your own foliage or flower centerpiece using your digi-papers!! 10 POINTS!!

While I think all this decor is really pretty, I'd love to do something a bit more practical. What I had in mind was a recipe book / binder.

I love this one from the Zutter website and this one by our own maryinaz.

Mary's:

The challenge:
With so many of us trying new recipes, I bet there are a lot of recipes torn out of magazines and just sitting in piles or stuffed in folders in our kitchens. Create a home for your favorite recipes or recipes that you'd love to try!

My thoughts... a banner for Spring or whatever occasion strikes your fancy. Super easy, can use lots of yummy SSD papers and will beautify your space.

Personally, I'm ready for a Spring or St. Patrick's Day banner. Something I can use year to year.

Along the lines of practicality, I'd love to see an address book or a perpetual calendar for birthdays.

Pinterest has several great ones for inspiration like these

Use this card as inspiration and create your own set of 3-5 Spring greeting cards that have 3-d elements and use irregular shapes (ie: long & skinny, round, scalloped edges, etc)
