Default Anyone super computer savvy?

So I've been using ACDsee for years for tagging all of my scrapbook stuff. And it looks like my primary hard drive has finally died, luckily, I think I have 95% of everything transferred over to my other hard drive.

Anyone know what I can do, so that my tags will transfer to the new harddrive? So I don't have to re tag everything? Like, would I need to rename the drive?

I'm tech savvy but don't use a PC or ACDsee. Does ACDsee have customer support that you could contact?

I'm sending the link to a friend who uses this program. Maybe she'll be able to help you?

I haven't done any research yet. I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has had to deal with this issue before first.

Everything in the same "folders" just on a different hard drive, so the path is different to connect I guess. I'm

I just did a quick web search and ACDsee actually has a forum. Is this what you're looking for? I don't know what version you have or if that even matters.

Awesome! I’ll check this out! Thank you Sheri! I’ve been a mess worrying that I haven’t actually transferred everything over. This will be one less thing to stress about.

I stopped using ACDsee years ago because my computer died and ACDsee at the time wouldn't allow me to move my license and files to the new one.
I really hope you have better luck with them!!

So that looks like it's for transferring to a new computer, and that I've done before. I'm sending them an email, hopefully they can help me. It's my external hard drive. I'm basically wondering if there is a way to rename it, so it "looks like the dead one" so everything still lines up when I go to something that I've had tagged.

I think if you rename the drive letter it should work? I had the same problem recently with my backup

That’s what I was thinking.

Are you using a PC? I keep those notes handy because my computer kept changing my drive names. LOL!
This is a link to Acer, but it works on any PC

I had it happen once and I recall it was pretty painless. It pretty much asked me if I wanted to reattach or adopt a drive (not sure of the name they had for it) but it found everything on the new drive. So know it can be done without issue, don't give up if the first thing doesn't work.

Good to know! I started messing with it yesterday and I found that when I put the new drive's "letter" in the path, it went to what I was looking for, so I've just got to watch a tutorial to rename my drive I think.
