A conversation behind the scenes got me wondering what ya'll prefer....

dill or sweet pickles?

Bonus bragging rights to the person that can guess what was being discussed.

I'd be cheating if I guessed the convo since I saw it already.. haha.. but I'll say that I won't touch miracle whip with a 20 foot pole. YUUUCCCKKK!!! My mom used to try to convince me that miracle whip and mayo are the same thing. Not even close mom!

And I haven't touched a sweet pickle in almost 30 years. The first and only time I had them I loved them. So much that I spent an entire day in the bathroom after I ate the whole jar+ of them. Yeah don't do that. Ever.

OMG Cassie! That would get me to never eat a sweet pickle ever again, too! Yowzers!

And, yeah, Matt's aunt uses Miracle Whip and Sweet Relish. PUKE!
My mom never ever purchased Miracle Whip.

I would never touch Miracle Whip. Just the name grosses me out. And I'm French you know so mayo in those jars here in the US is really not the same as some real homemade mayo! YUM!

As for pickles I have a hard time with ANY pickles, but I do like cornichon! Gerkhins? I think that's the name here.

Discussing pregnancy cravings??

i love pickles and I really miss going to a restaurant at lunch for a sandwich and big dill pickle on the side. just thought i'd mention that. haha

I won't guess since I know the answer. LOL!

I prefer mayo on sandwiches but I use both when making tuna or deviled eggs. Definitely prefer dill pickles!

My family is a Miracle Whip family and my husband is staunch mayonnaise and I've converted
DILL pickles all the way! I hate the way sweet pickles smell and taste!

I grew up Miracle Whip but can't stand it now -- Helman's Mayo for me.

Pickles depends - putting in tuna I want sweet pickles but to eat with a sandwich I want dill.

My guess - bacon sandwich

I'm not picky about my mayo/miracle whip. I'll eat both but in small amounts because it makes me queasy. And no pickles! I'll eat relish but I don't like sliced pickles. Maybe if they're deep fried.

Meagan - My husband LOVES mayo. Like he will put a blob of mayo on anything. He's gross. And, he will only eat Best Foods mayo. Nothing else is allowed. LOL!

Debbie - Not a bacon sandwich.

Kathy - I'm going to have to argue with you that Miracle Whip is NOT mayo. Nope...definitely not mayo.

Grace - you do realize that relish really is just chopped up pickles, right?

Leah - yes, a recipe

Neither mayo nor miracle whip, but if I'm using it for cooking, it's always mayo. I prefer dill pickles, but will eat both.

I don't know what Miracle whip is, but I love mayo! Just normal ordinary mayo please.
Most of the pickles here are not sweet, so no sweet pickles here. Hubby loves pickles more than I do, though, so he eats those more often than I do, unless it's my home's cucumber pickles.

I was thinking potato salad, too

I've never tried Miracle Whip. As a kid, I wouldn't eat mayo either. As I got older, I found I like mayo on my sandwiches.

I'm not a fan of pickled anything. If I'm eating a pickle, it would be sweet. I don't like dill at all either. LOL!! I'm a bit picky.

I like Trader Joes organic mayo but I often make my own mayo. As for pickles, I used to love sweet pickles but don’t eat them anymore. The only time I eat pickles is if I chop up dill pickles to put into a homemade tartar sauce.

I don't eat condiments of any kind unless you count salad dressing. Bland for me! I do like dill pickles, though.

I saw the conversation too so I won't guess but definitely mayo and definitely dill!!! I'll eat Miracle Whip if there's no alternative, but I won't be happy about it. We go through a lot of dill pickles around here as my daughter and I both love love love them. lol

Miracle Whip and sweet pickles (although, homemade pickles are my new favorite!)

I'm going to guess tarter sauce (only because i make my own and use both of those items to make it.)

I’ll eat Miracle Whip or Mayo, and I love all pickles so dill or sweet, I don’t care. Right now I can’t eat Miracle Whip so it’s only mayo. Anything with eggs needs to be with miracle whip because mayo makes it too eggy

I reject Mayo & Miracle Whip, and sweet pickles are an abomination. Give me a dill pickle any day as long as it goes with a sandwich.

I was raised on Miracle Whip (which tastes like sugar when you haven't had it in a while -- blegh!) but now only eat mayo. I made my own when I was doing Whole 30 (which is not hard at all but time-consuming and aggravated my wrist somethin' fierce).

Dill pickles all the time, every time. I don't even get the concept of sweet pickles. It's supposed to be sour. That's why it's pickled!

we are a house divided...... I say Mayo, Hubby needs Miracle Whip. So when I made potato salad, egg salad etc there need to be two different ones for each. In my opinion, though, miracle whip isn't even fit to feed to my worst enemy. lol

eww, eww and eww.....

mayo or miracle whip?
If I had to, Miracle Whip....but not really something you'll see me voluntarily eat or put on my food!!

dill or sweet pickles?
Um, NEVER--any of them!! My husband and middle have to brush their teeth if they eat pickles and try to come near me. The smell is just so repulsive, nasty, gross . . .

And yes, before you say anything, yes I know I'm picky!

Definitely homemade mayo and no pickles in deviled eggs at my house. Just plain egg yolk and mayo.

I like both equally. I really don't taste much of a difference between mayo or miracle whip.
I prefer sweet pickles or even bread & butter.
