Today I am thankful for the things I so often take for granted like heat and hot water. After going almost 48 hours without any, I am grateful that our power has been returned here.

From my FB Status: Today I am thankful for children that are independent thinkers, but still think of others.
And then I thanked my daughter for making my lunch today. It's nice to have a teen who doesn't mind doing for someone other than herself.

I am blogging this, so from my blog:
Happy November. I am going to start off my 30 days of Thankfullness with the obvious, but you can never ever say it too much in my opinion... I am so very very thankful for my family. All of them... my kids, my hubby...they are absolutely amazing and love me way more than I probably deserve. I want nothing more than to be the best wife I can be and love my husband the way he needs loved. I want nothing more than to be the best mom I can be and love my children and give them more in life than I ever had. Thank you, God, for these blessings!

Today I am thankful for my home, which despite it's many flaws provides warmth for my family. I think I concentrate too much on what I want to do to make it better instead of realizing how wonderful it is.

Today I am thankful for a very soft hearted daddy, who every once in a while gives in to his pleading children to have cold cereal for breakfast. It make this mommy's dish duty some much more manageable in the morning and it puts just a little more pep in my step when I get to quickly cross a dreaded chore off my morning to do list!!!

Today I'm thankful for a sweet grandson who, just last night, asked that the tooth fairy not take his tooth so that he could bring the tooth to me and show that it was out of his mouth. And that instead of his mother checking to see how loose the tooth next to the one he lost was, he asked me to check how loose it was.

Today I am inspired by a friend whose facebook status said - "I am a mum of an autistic child & not everyday is wonderful . . . . but everyday is worth it."
She is so right, and as a mum of three wonderful aspies, I am thankful for the unique blessing that they are

I am so thankful for all of the days that I got with my friend Jacob, so thankful for every time he cheered me up when I showed up at dinner sad, so thankful he took the time to teach me Lord of the Rings Risk and that he had this magnetic energy. Today, I'm really thankful for my friend Jacob, who passed away yesterday.

I'm so sorry, Jenni.
Today, I'm thankful to be home with my kids. I worked full-time up until a year and half ago, and I felt like I missed out on so much with them. In fact, I can remember very little of my middle son's early childhood - I was just so busy and stressed. I love being with them every day, all day, and watching them grow up.

Today I am thankful for a child who excels in school and loves being there. (I worked this morning in a 3rd grade class with kids who were falling behind and I feel for their parents and how hard it must be to watch them struggle.)

Aw, I'm so sorry for your loss Jenni.
Today I'm thankful for great neighbours who treat my children like their own. Our kids spend every spare minute together, and run between houses like they own both. I love it.

Today I am thankful for my friends, never before have I met a group of people who are on the same wavelenght as much as we are. I know I can and I have on some occasions called them at 4am and told them I needed them and they come running. I am so thankful that I have them in my life x

Today I am thankful that I am able to be a housewife! Yes, it would be nice to have a job, but when I wake up with migraines or just feeling like crap, I remember how nice it is that my husband has an amazing job and that I don't have to work!

Today I am thankful for...having a brand new car after 56 day of not having my one (even though I was forced to buy one since someone decided to steal the one I had) and not having to rely on someone else to get me to the train on time in the mornings

I am thankful, so very thankful, that my hard drive survived the meltdown of my laptop, because it turns out the backup I did in September did not actually back up & most of my data was from April or even January

Today I'm thankful for my family and the fun we have together. Some days I feel so busy refereeing the arguments, cooking the meals, and responding to the kids' requests that there's no time to just enjoy being with them, but today wasn't one of those days.

Today I am thankful for english muffins. I had english muffins with peanut butter, and english muffins pizzas today, and that’s about it all I could eat. So english muffins are my hero today. ::sigh::
