I will try to keep this short...

OK my sister had a son who she lost custody of back in like 1993 or 1994. He was 6 years old at the time. We did not know where he went because the courts terminated her parental rights. (its a really long story and really painful). Anyhow last night she got a message asking her if she ever had a son named George and if she ever lived in Orlando. He looked sooo much like my son and my brother. She emailed back and said yes she did and has been looking for him for many years since he turned 18 and she could legally try to find him. He emailed her back and told her he is her son!!! I got to talk to him tonight for the first time in 16 years!! It was really weird because I remember him as a little boy of 5 or so and he is a grown man now but also sooo amazing because he is back now and really happy that he found us all. He is in the army and is in North Carolina. He is being deployed soon to Afghanistan and would like to see his mom and sister before he leaves but they are not sure that is something they can do. My sister is going to try and if she can get time off of work and get her ex to be ok with her taking their daughter then she is going to go see him. I might be going with her as well. I am really, really excited about this. It always felt like part of our family was missing and I always wondered if he was ok because the events leading up to him being adopted were really traumatic and a painful thing for our whole family. Isnt that just an amazing thing to get for christmas??

Wow. This will probably be forever known as The Christmas Miracle for your family. I hope you are all reunited very soon. Thanks for sharing.

She cried...I cried. They talked for so long they made two cell phones go dead. This was just amazing for our family. My husband spent hours on the phone a couple of months ago trying to find someone who could help us find him. See we had no name to go by because the people who eventually adopted him changed his name so when we searched for him by his birth name nothing came up. We did know he was in North Carolina because my sister searched for him by his social security number. She was afraid he would not want to see her or talk to her and he was afraid she would not want to see him. So while he has been gone for quite awhile he is back now and he told my sister today not to worry he is happy because he has his mom back and she said to hear him call her mom pretty much made her whole day (probably year!!). I am so happy for her as well. And my neice because she has a big brother. Well she always HAD a big brother but now she will know him and talk to him and maybe even be able to go see him (her dad is kinda a big butthead about the divorce agreement so not sure she will be able to leave the state??)

Wow, that is wonderful! I have chill bumps reading your story! Congrats on having your nephew back in your life!

Wow... I have tears in my eyes reading this... what a wonderful gift for your family!! Congrats!

I have chills Jessica. What a wonderful Christmas present. I remember when I made that same call over 25 years ago!!

I was almost in shock when I got to my sisters house and she told me this. I knew that he emailed her but he didnt say in the first email who he was. I honestly just do not have words to say how happy I am right now.

Wow...what an amazing gift at this time of year. I hope that everything works out and you are all able to go see him before he is deployed.

A truly amazing gift from God has been given to your family and most esp. your Sister. Hopefully things will turn out to be ok for your niece to go with ya's when go see him.
