I will try to keep this short...
OK my sister had a son who she lost custody of back in like 1993 or 1994. He was 6 years old at the time. We did not know where he went because the courts terminated her parental rights. (its a really long story and really painful). Anyhow last night she got a message asking her if she ever had a son named George and if she ever lived in Orlando. He looked sooo much like my son and my brother. She emailed back and said yes she did and has been looking for him for many years since he turned 18 and she could legally try to find him. He emailed her back and told her he is her son!!! I got to talk to him tonight for the first time in 16 years!! It was really weird because I remember him as a little boy of 5 or so and he is a grown man now but also sooo amazing because he is back now and really happy that he found us all. He is in the army and is in North Carolina. He is being deployed soon to Afghanistan and would like to see his mom and sister before he leaves but they are not sure that is something they can do. My sister is going to try and if she can get time off of work and get her ex to be ok with her taking their daughter then she is going to go see him. I might be going with her as well. I am really, really excited about this. It always felt like part of our family was missing and I always wondered if he was ok because the events leading up to him being adopted were really traumatic and a painful thing for our whole family. Isnt that just an amazing thing to get for christmas??
