Default nausea while using the computer?

I have noticed that using my computer sometimes causes me nausea/dizziness. It does not happen everytime and it isnt a particular site that is causing it. I asked my doctor but he didnt really have much to say because he said he has never really heard of it before. Ive checked online but didn't really find much info on it there either and I am the only one here who experiences it. I use a desktop computer with a flat screen LCD monitor and what little info I have found online says that is the ideal monitor to use. I experienced this when I would play video games with my kids on the gamecube but then only certain games would cause it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and would know what causes it?

Have you had your eyes checked lately? A full eye exam might be in the cards.

I am not a doctor, but your nausea might have been caused by some light effect / flashing / sudden change of lightness and colours on the screen.

I am such a light-sensitive person, I cannot watch TV when the lights are switched off. I need a little light in the room or light switched on in another room. When I go pee in the night, I cannot switch the light on as the sudden change from darkness into the light would cause me headache. I also hate when my DH comes into the room and switches the light on/off without telling me first - I need to close my eyes before and then open it slowly to ged adopted.

Especially when you saying that only certain games would make you dizzy, I think this could be the answer.

Hope it helps somehow...

its been like two years since I had my eyes checked. I just recently started having this issue with the computer but it never really occurred to me that it could have soemthing to do with that. I know I am due to have an eye exam and probably need a new prescription since I do wear glasses might check with my eye dr and see if he can tell me something about it.

I would definitely get your eyes checked.
I was having the same issues and now have to wear glasses when on the computer or to watch tv, read, etc.
I know I'm due up for an exam too. ugh.
