Let me brag :-)

I've been working on my vacation 2010 photobook since almost a year, and all the time I've been avoiding scrapping the day we spent on a boat ride to watch the castles... There were so many of them that it kept scaring me. However, last Friday I decided it was time I did something about it... So I sat down, looked at the pictures, found out that in some cases I only had one that was decent (we took them from a boat, so there wasn't much time), so I came up with a concept and...

...scrapped the whole thing in like 3-4 days without compromising my RL too much (even managed to go to an all-day trip).

I don't think I can ever beat this, so I thought I'd share the result. Right now I'm lazy to credit and upload things and some of these were made using non-SSD product, so I post them here together.

All images are clickable and lead to a bigger version just in case.

Thank you! :-)

It's funny how the one thing I kept avoiding and postponing turned out to be the one finished the fastest. Quite typical. :-)

Oh, and if you ever felt like going for a vacation in Germany, here you can see it's a very good idea. ;-)

OH Wow! You should never avoid something like this again! Those are so lovely and the pictures look so professional; almost like each one is a postcard. Absolutely beautiful...so glad you shared.

just gorgeous!! the pictures are fabulous - and i love that you made them the focus of the pages, but also added in enough scrapping goodies to make each one different and fabulous!

Thank you, ladies.

Thanks to this thread I remembered that I also made some magnets from this vacation - it's become a habit among my work buddies to bring magnets from any trip, so I had this awesome idea that this time I'd make them myself using my Xyron. Of course, the result was that they got them in December, but who cares. And I forgot to brag about them (yes, that also does happen), so now's the opportunity.

They are all beautiful! You did a wonderful job show casing the beauty of Germany *sigh* Now I'm really wishing /dreaming of going back for another visit some day!

Thanks! Germany is such a under-appreciated destination, and undeservedly so, as it's a beautiful country. I hope to go to another Germany vacation this year (two of them actually, if I'm lucky) and I wish you can return there one day!

Germany is the top of my must see list! This reminds me why. (Plus a trip over to Prague while there). Gorgeous layouts!Q

Amazing!!! I just got home with over 2000 photos from our 2 week vacation and you've given me a great idea on how I'm going to scrap some of the more important landscape pictures I took - thank you!!!

I really love how you decorated each of your castle photos and the little magnets are just a brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing your success!

Oh, where are you planning to go, Adrianka? If you get anywhere near the Cologne/Düsseldorf area, give a shout!

Well, one destination was Sylt and it ended up as Barcelona (the summer was too cold for a vacation in northern Germany). The other one was Friedrichshafen and that ended up as nothing as all, because the friend I wanted to go with had to prepare for an EPSO competition (a job at the EU institutions)... Last weekend we wanted to go at least to Aachen, but I fell ill...

Hopefully next year will be more favourable to my German plans. Cologne is DEFINITELY on my priority list of destinations. Where exactly in Germany are you (feel free to PM me if you don't want to discuss it here)? Would be cool to meet someone from SSD. Ha, we could even speak German (even though that might scare you, my German is clumsy when I speak). :-)

I didn't realize this was an older thread! They are gorgeous Adrianka! I love the little clusters on each page. Oh, and I LOVE your new avi! Looking good, lady! :)
