Public Library related.. did u know...

that you could get free passes to go to the zoos, museums and state parks some of them discounted.

Not sure if all of them do this everywhere but my dd was telling me on the way to the grocery store and the library is close by so we went and if you read my other post it was a spur of the moment not really thinking about it and just WENT!!

We got passes to Mystic Seaport they have em for the aquarium to at a discounted rate but w/the gas alone we'll go with the Seaport :thumbup: I can't wait Helena wants to go so she can practice her photography and the kids are excited to go on the road so we'll be there next tues!

ours does this too! but only so many people can use their discount passes at once, so we have to book in advance. I love that I can reserve a pass to get into the local civil war sites for free!

we do... but we can't reserve them... so it's first come, first serve... which means we never get to use them

Ours only does discounts to like to Great American - Six Flags and Noah's Ark Water Park... nothing real useful for us.

Another place for discounts are through Credit Unions... at least by us.

ours does this too! i haven't had a chance to take advantage of it (we have memberships to aquarium and the children's museum), but i'm looking forward to using this service sometime! not sure how difficult it is to get the passes, i'll have to check that out soon ...

We have a couple to choose from for free and then discounted.

We can't reserve em either they are nice enough to go through the passes to see what's available and what days. We can take the PASS up to 6 days in advance and return the next day

I had no idea. I wonder if our library does this.

most libraries around here do it. it's how i spent so much time at museums as a kid.

most of them aren't free, though. they used to be free. but now they're just discounted.
