Looks like Chicago would be the most central spot to do a midwest meet-up. So lets try to pick a date that works for the majority.

FYI, I'll include the dates that I can't do, because if that works for the majority, then I'll hook up with you guys another time. ;)

June 30, July 14, 21, 28 are the weekends that are out for me. I have weddings to photograph on those dates. Since there are only 10 choices for the poll, I'm leaving a couple dates off.

I am going to make it where you can vote more than once, so if there are multiple days that work for you, that's great. :)

We can always do a tie-breaker vote too, so vote for the days you think you could do it. :)

The best dates for me (and Vanessa lol) would be June 16, July 7, or August 4. I can do all of the dates you can't, Vanessa, but that wouldn't be fun for you to start to plan it & not be there!

I could MAYBE do June 23, but that's our anniversary weekend, so who knows if Joel will break out of the norm and actually plan something. LOL It is our 10th, you know. Ha!

I just found out that I am getting ready to go to Arkansas for my grandfather's surgery. I knew I'd have some travel money leftover after June vacation, but it looks like it'll be going to that instead of meeting up with you fine ladies!

i'd prefer june...emma starts school in early august and her birthday is in late july...things just get crazy around here later in the summer.
 
August. I know I didn't comment in the other thread; I needed to talk to Andrew first. :D August is best since I'll be done with recovery from my surgery and he'll finally be done with the busiest time of year at work. Oh--and we'll most likely be kidless if it's 8/4. The boys should be back by 8/11 since I want them home for my birthday which is the day before. :D
 
I literally have no preference but July is kinda insane for us. This is assuming we can even go - I haven't broached the subject with my husband yet...:) I dutifully attended many meetings of his car clubs over the years though, so I think he owes me one! :p
 
I wish I could! Chicago would be a drive for me plus I would HAVE to bring the boys. You girlies have fun. I will live it through your pictures. :)
 
I'm good with whenever because we just don't have our summer planned yet :p so I haven't voted :p

With the main floor remodel we really aren't planning any vacations so this might be a good chance for Mark to get some major stuff done if I bring the kids along and get out of his hair... he'll take the day off and work on the house probably... and we aren't planning any vacations since we'll probably use his vacation time to work on the house.

Then if you ladies that live in Chicago or nearby can recommend a spot to do it at.

I'm pretty sure that if its August 4th, I'll have the kids and DH. We'll probably just rent a room and spend the night.

Same here. :) A last little get-away before getting back to the grind.
 
gosh... there is sooooo much to do here... if you guys are bringing kids and hubbies I'm thinking you guys want to do a fun outing like a museum or zoo or something like that?

and we have a Brookfield zoo membership so we can get a couple people in for free ;) if that's what you guys want to do

I've never been to Legoland and that would be fun too

and we love the Museum of Science and Industry... actually we really love all the museums and since August tends to be pretty humid, I'd be up for an air conditioned museum over the zoo :p
 
I'd be up for either MOSI or the zoo. :) Depending on how many are coming- Legoland is pretty small. And there really isn't a whole lot to do. We were in and out in an hour or so. But if that's where everyone else wants to go, I'll be a team player. :)
 
Any of those sound fine with me. My kids love the zoo, and the MOSI sounds great too. I'll be 7 months pregnant by then, so anything with air conditioner sounds fantastic! LOL!
