PGAD 2/12: Shoot & Scrap the February Photo Challenge

Hello, hello, hello! Today is February 12th, which means we're twelve days into our month-long celebration here at the Sweet Shoppe to mark our 19th birthday. I hope you're having fun, playing along with our Party Game A Day and collecting the adorable and oh-so-sweet daily downloads in our mega collab collection, Laughter.

I'm your host for today's PGAD, which is a scrapbooking challenge ... but it's an easy one.


THE CHALLENGE:

Today's PGAD is simple: create a new layout that includes a photograph you've taken for our February Photo Challenge.

Scrapbooking is all about combining photos, words, and beautiful embellishments to create a lasting chronicle of our lives. This year here at the Sweet Shoppe, we’re going to dedicate some time at the start of each month to focus on the first of those three ingredients: our photographs.

For the month of February, we're focusing on reflections. For more information - including some gorgeous sample photographs from the Sugar Babes - check out the post on our blog here (https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/i...e-reflections/).

So for today's challenge, shoot a photograph that includes a reflection; then, create a new layout with that photo using Sweet Shoppe supplies. When you're done, post it in the Gallery and reply to this thread, including your layout and a link to it in the gallery.


A LITTLE INSPIRATION:

I shot this photograph of my dog, Charlie, for the February Photo Challenge. It features his reflection in a large mirror I placed on the ground outside:

You posted this challenge right at the end of my work day, so I snapped some reflection photos before I left for the night! There are 2 reflections. One on the far left of the large photo - button reflection in the top monitor, and the other a selfie in that same monitor.

Does this need to be a new photo from February? That's how I read it initially, but now I'm looking at the inspiration and I'm not so sure.

Ideally, yes - the challenge is to shoot something new; to create a new photograph that includes a reflection. However, if you've got the perfect image sitting in your personal photo library and you haven't scrapbooked it yet, go for it.

Especially with the short timeline to complete the challenge, I'm not going to be the "photo police" and ding you if it's an old photo ... but it definitely DOES need to be a new layout.

Thanks for the challenge, I love to use reflections in my photos. They add something to make it interesting. I think I even showed my husband to use it (but that was last century).
Anyway, yesterday my daughter got a new tattoo to remember her granddad (my father) who past away last year. 'Save You a Seat' by Alex Warren is the song she chose to play during the funeral and we had sunflowers. So this tattoo is a tribute to him.
