The pennant was actually the first element I placed on this page. It reminded me of something that would be hung up at a pool and/or at a race towards the finish line & since this is a page about her swim lessons, it was perfect. It's also a celebratory page, and everyone knows parties = banners. Lastly, I thought it helped to break up all of the vertical lines on this page & helped balance the big title and the big journaling block.

I hate being in pictures!! But I know that my kids love to see me in them. So while I'm most comfortable behind the camera, sometimes it's fun to snap a quick selfie with my favorite little people so that one day they'll be able to say I was there!
