Calendar questions???

I will be printing my calendars from home this year. I am wondering what the best type of paper to print on would be. I was thinking cardstock, but not sure about that. Any suggestions???? I have a bind-it-all and I figured I would finally put it to use, LOL!!

You can use cardstock - it will work fine!

However, I prefer matte photo paper. I get mine at Costco or Sams and a whole humongous box is like $20 (it also happens to be double sided, so it doesn't matter which side I print on - YAY for that)!! Lots of gals here prefer the matte presentation paper at Staples. I think you get better color quality and overall image quality is much higher using a good photo paper. I also think I don't drain nearly as much ink using the photo paper!

Just some info from trial and error on my part! Hope that helps you some!

I'm a fan of matte photo paper too. I get mine at Target, also double sided. I get 30 sheets for $5. Not as cheap as Costco or Sam's but, no membership required! :)

Colors come out much truer on the matte paper than cardstock.
 
Yep, matte photo paper. I use the Epson ones - Ultra Premium is thick like cardstock and the Premium is thinner. I use Epson cause I have an Epson printer.

I'm going to have to check out this double-sided stuff you all are talking about though. That would be very helpful for my hybrid DIY template projects! What are the brand names of those?
 
I use the Staples double sided matte photo paper for mine. I got it when it was on sale ($4 for a 50 pack!) and it turns out really well! I definitely recommend matte photo paper over cardstock, it does make a difference with the colors for some reason.

Heather, Epson makes a double sided matte - I think it's called presentation paper - it works well for calendars.

Thanks Yvette! I have Epson Ultra Premium Matte Presentation Paper and Premium Matte Presentation Paper and neither are double sided. But I'll look at Staples later today and see what I can find. :)
