I have a question about the 4 in a corner pattern. Do they have to be diagonal or can you do any 2 corners? Thanks!

You need to do a pattern like the ones given here:

Alternatively, you can scrap any two horizontal or vertical lines, or a combination of one of each, to earn your pattern bingo discount!
Please Note: The rules for the center space still apply!

... or a blackout.
So, to answer your question, you can do two lines on the bingo card or create a cross of one horizontal and one vertical lines. Hope that helps.

I just wanted to add that you could also interpret this prompt as "The Big Game" [as my Dad always called them] nights/days that involve sports. Like if you and your family enjoy attending sporting events together or watching them together on TV. Did you and your family watch the Winter Olympics? I hope that helps.
