this one (dude from my kit w/ shawna~ that electric rat :] ) I did better with the modge podge stuff (as you can see in the reflection.. rainbow has strokes.. dude doesn't) but.. I had issues with the sanding... go figure :p
I also did this one on a white glass tile instead of the wood.. i dunno which i like better though.

Well you probably don't want to know what I'm "Getting" my 'mom' for mother's day lol. But see if you don't like your mother those kinda gifts could cause an ... um ... choking hazard ha!

Those are so cute though. Owen loves the little dude one lol.

those are cute! i almost bought the supplies to make them at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. maybe i will now since seeing yours!

the glass tile was just in a random aisle in michaels.. I was on a hunt for anything square haha. It's not clear though-- which is what i wanted.

I attached the bail with krazy glue- though they do make jewelry glue that would probably be better :p .. I like krazy glue though :p

eta: I used crazy glue cause I was glueing metal to wood (or glass) I would have used jewelry glue if it was metal to metal.

pssht .. you totally could.
I can't cut straight-- not a requirement. File the edges away woot!
and the rest is glueing essentially :p .. anyone can do that!

I'd like to know how you got zero brush strokes on the 2nd one??? I've used every type of brush...even foam...and *still* get brush strokes!!

honestly.. I globbed it on-- I used a foam brush normally on the first one, and as you can see.. mega streaks.. for the 2nd one, I put a ton on, and instead of "brushing till there was barely anything there" I used it more like a really light squeegie (sp), very gently went over the top without putting pressure down till i got rid of all the little air bubbles.. it was slow and tedious- cause if i put too much pressure i had to start over ^_^
