I am new to hybrid card making, but not card making or scrapping. I am looking for 2 kits one girly one more masculine that would be very versatile in making cards. Any suggestions??

well we have about a billion kits in the store...so maybe you could give us some colors or themes to go with? :D

Honestly, I wouldn't know where to start! I have a new favourite every day of the week :)

Seriously though, if I were you I'd find a quiet 20 minutes (though I guarentee you'll be so hooked you'll take longer), grab a cup of tea and go for a wander through the store - be sure to check out the Penny Candy section as you'll find lots of bargins there.

If there's a particular colour scheme, image etc you're interested in just shout again, and I'm sure someone here will know the exact kit(s) to point out for you!

One last thing - maybe go for a quick wander through the gallery (LO or the well stocked hybrid one!), and see what catches your eye - then check out the details posted by the person who created it as they usually specify the kit & designer details.

Enjoy browsing

I wanted to second Sara's tip above of checking out the Penny Candy section. You can stock up with some awesome kits for such a great deal. I just got into hybrid myself from traditional cardmaking a while back after seeing so many great hybrid creations on stamping boards from Jen Tapler. I would definitely check out the HybridBabe's gallery and see how they use the SSD kits in so many creative ways that I wouldn't have thought of. Of course it will be very enabling :)

I just uploaded a card and when I downloaded the kit (Autobiography by ScrapKitchen) that it would be for a masculine something. But after all's done the card that I did turned out really soft and girlie.

So, as long as you don't go all pink for a boy (ha) a lot of kits will work for boy/girl. It all depends on how you use and embellish the page.
