Lollipop Tree

My daughter's birthday is this weekend. I have rainbow lollipops for each of the guests for prizes (everyone wins ). Anyway, I want to make some sort of a decorative lollipop tree for the kids to 'pick' their pop from. My plan at the moment is to stick the pops in a styrofoam cone, but I thought I'd check here to see if any of you brilliant ladies have every done a project along this lines and could share ideas

I don't have a photograph but this is something I did with the kids in my class. Paint some twigs white, wrap with fairy lights and attach the lollypops to the 'tree' with little wooden pegs. It looked so cute and you could even add glitter to the twigs for extra sparkly girlyness
