Description: Journaling: While everyone went to the PGA, I took the kids to the Oklahoma Aquarium for a little fun of their own. We touched the sting rays in the touch tank and fed them as well as turtles. Ben and Nate were mesmerized by the sharks as we walked through the tunnel so we sat at the glass wall and watched them for another half hour. At the end of our visit we picked up a souvenir at the gift shop. I notice how small the cabin really is. That this large piece of metal really shouldn't be able to fly through the air. At thousands of feet, the chances of survival are nil. zip. nada. As soon as I sit down, I count the number of seats in front of me and behind me to the nearest exit row. If kids are wandering around up front it makes me crazy wondering what would happen if they were to open the hatch...and we were all sucked out. Description: Journaling: You made it all the way to ten years old without one stitch. Grace is definitely not your middle name and your aggressive nature in sports lent me to believe we would have made this trip to the ER long ago. So don't ask me why I was so surprised when you slipped on the running board getting into the back of the Expedition. Your right arm came down directly on your art project, a clay plate, that you had carefully placed on the seat to make sure it didn't break. Amazingly it was only slightly chipped but unfortunately your arm didn't fair as well. I heard you scream and turned around to see a huge gash right below your elbow. After patching you up with our first aid kit, we took off for the ER. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly you saw the doctor. They numbed your arm with a fantstic gel. By the time she had to use a needle to numb the deeper areas of the cut, you couldn't feel a thing. The two of you talked the whole time as I apparently looked rather shaken as I held your hand. They offered me a chair TWICE! Description: For the cookie decorating 101 challenge, scraplifting Novita's Treasure Hunters. Journaling: Our days were filled with fun adventures. At night the girls would barely make it out of the shower before they would collapse into bed. It only took a few minutes before we would hear their quiet snores, letting us know they were falling deep asleep, restoring their energy for a new day and a new adventure.
