It was my first Mariner's Compass, but I cheated! I used the Quilt Smart Kit. It was easy to piece, but it took about eight months to hand quilt. This is made entirely with Hoffman Batiks and was started on June 25, 2006. I finished it June 16, 2007.

Description: I covered two challenges with this! Is that allowed?! The cookie Decorating 101 here at the Sweet Shoppe and the Impromptu Challenge over at SBB. Brenda Kempf's Sherbert a la Bling and Cardstock Crazy Sherbert Kits Brenda Kempf's Cardboard Alpha LaWanna Desjardin's Swish Stamps were used to accent the background paper. Jen Wilson's Stitching 101 Brush Fonts: CK Mama'O and CK Nifty Journaling reads: Taryn's first swimming lessons! December 2002. Taryn was scared of the water. She absolutely didn't want to get her face wet! This made watching her learn that the water wasn't so bad awesome! She knew it too! Just look at the grin on her face after she jumped in the first time! Journaling June 2007.
