Description: Journaling:I have been searching for my "word" this last week or so. Not just a word that other people see me as but a word that describes "my personal journey" in life. A word that tells people not only what they see in me but what I see in myself. I have finally found that word. The word is "Experience" in the action form, meaning: " To participate in or partake of personally, feel, go through, have, know, meet (with), see, suffer, taste (of), undergo." I want to experience the world around me, touch it, taste it, feel it, explore it, learn about it, and do so personally. Not through a book or a museum, but through life. Other cultures, places, people, I want to experience them all.

Description: This year my resolution is to care about ME. while I used to be the "skinny" girl in high school (I weighed 98 pounds soak and wet) I have found that I am no longer a healthy weight. I need to drop some pounds and I have been working on it for a while now. I have lost 15 pounds already and on this day I started Fitness Boot Camp. I plan to continue to take off about 10 to 15 more pounds. I have come to realize that I need to find myself again.

Description: "I have taken on the goal of finding my word for the year. What I need is a word that describes my personal journey in life not what I do for a living or what I am to others. I have decided to attempt to find it. It must be hiding here somewhere in all this mess. I am sure I just stored it away somewhere and can no longer find it. Maybe I can try on a few words and see if they fit? Can I try on a word like a pair of spectacular shoes or a great Coach purse? Lets say I like the word "spontaneous" this is a word I would like to be. Does it work that way or do I need to actually already be that word and not know it yet? I guess my journey is to find that out."

No more Hiking Please!!!

Description: These are photos I took while my husband Brad and I went hiking over the weekend in the mountains of Frasier Park. I have to admit I love the beach!! I like the scenery of the mountains, BUT I am not a good mountain/camping outdoors person. Brad wanted to go hiking though so I toughened up and tried to be a trooper. We got to the trail which was "UP" the mountain and by the time we got halfway I was about to hyperventilate. So I decided to take a rest on a fallen tree and while trying to get into position I banged my leg against a broken limb on the tree scratching it pretty good. That was it I was done!!! Not to mention I had bugs flying around me and stickers all over and in my shoes. I just cannot understand how people enjoy this so much. I guess in the long run I wasn't such a trooper after all, I made him drive into the nearest town and get me Band-Aid's, antibiotic ointment and water to wash off my scrap. LOL After that we simply drove through the mountains and if I saw something near the road I wanted to photograph we stopped and I did so. LOL Yeah, no more hiking for me please!!

Description: I graduated 2 weeks ago on April 19th with my Bachelors degree in Human Services, while I am very proud of myself for accomplishing this I know I never could have done it without my wonderful friends and classmates. I used Misty Catos "Chatty" kit with a few elements of Tracy Sims as well randomly spread throughout. I recolored some of Mistys elements to match the color of my sash as well.
