Description: At the airport we discovered that there was a free jazz festival on in Athens - right near where we were staying. We dropped our stuff off at the apartment and went to find it. En route we discovered the Meet Market which had lots of wonderful crafts for sale, great street food, and a very interesting restaurant that hung in the sky from a crane!

Description: A recent trip to Athens. This was the first day we arrived and we'd been told about a free jazz festival near us. 'After exploring the markets we arrived at the stage for the concerts. There were 3 slots - 9 pm, 10 and 11pm. We stayed for an hour and a half, particularly enjoying the music of Quadro Nueva - a tango band from Germany. Also playing were TriCoolOrre - a jazz band from Turkey. It was interesting to see such an international lineup - including such historical enemies as Greece and Turkey.'
