Description: March 3 Hybrid Challenge This was my first time ever trying to alter or cover a book or notebook. The inside covers don't look very good because the paper was kind of heavy and I couldn't keep the folded over edges to stay down, so I ended up using tape (originally tried rubber cement). Any suggestions on that? Everything on paper (flower paper, polka dot paper, and jewel ribbon) from Traci Reed's Kissable kit

Description: March 11 Journaling Challenge Journaling reads: Spunky, even though we got you ten Christmases ago, I will never forget how and when you were named. You were a Christmas gift to me and my sisters, but we were visiting family on the east cost during the holidays that year, so we were told we would pick you up when we got home. On the twelve hour car drive back to Chicago, we encountered a blizzard and our car's heater stopped working. Since we were only a few hours from home when the heat went out and we wouldn't be able to get the car fixed where we were for the next few days, we decided to tough it out and head home. In between rest stops, where we would warm our boots with hand dryers, we tossed around name ideas to pass the time and keep our minds off the cold. We wanted a unique, cool name for you so I tossed out all sorts of silly name. When I suggested Spunky, I was only being half serious but the name stuck and it fits you to a tee. You were the spunkiest funniest little puppy I had ever seen and ten and a half years later, you're not much different. Sure, you are a little bit more slow moving but you're my spunky little buddy and I love you so much! Description: February 21 Sugarfree Challenge Journaling reads: On January 23, 2008 my good friend Kendra (right) and her good friend Katey (left) were hit head-on by two different cars after sliding across the center line while driving to school in a blizzard.Kendra was killed instantly. Katey survived, but she suffered massive brain injuries and was in a coma for a few weeks. Kendra was an amazing woman of God and she will be forever missed by the many people she touched. Description: February 2nd Month in Review Challenge Journaling reads: "January wasn't a very interesting month for me. On the 5th, I started my second quarter as a junior at Ohio State. A week later, Ohio State played in the Fiesta Bowl against Texas and lost 21 to 24...bummer. On Tuesday, January 20th Barack Obama was sworn in as our 44th President of the United States and made history for being the United State's first African American president. Unfortunately, I missed the inauguration because I was in class and the instructor did not seem to notice that anything imortant was happening that day. On the 23rd, my little sister Amanda turned 18 and then two days later, my step-sister Andrea also turned 18. With them living in two different states, it is always a challenge to figure out how I will celebrate both of their birthdays with them. I managed to be in each of their respective states on their birthdays...it was quite the birthday weekend! Description: Made for Jan 27th Cooking Decorating 101 Challenge Journaling reads: "This was one of the last days of our California trip and we chose to spend it with the Sheridans in Monterey. After we drove the well-known 17 Mile Drive, we had lunch at an English pub on the water. Until lunch time, the weather had been pretty grey and foggy. The sun decided to show its face and it turned into a beautiful day. These pictures were taken on the beach, after lunch. Soon afterward, we hopped in the car and headed back to our hotel in Santa Cruz. What a wonderful end to a terrific trip!"
