Description: I didn't think I'd dress my daughter in pink. I used to be a kind of anti-pink girl. NEVER owned pink before I got married and had kids. But I found myself dressing my little daughter in pink even though the thought of doing that made me shudder! I painted her nursery green and blue I was so adverse to pink. But something changed. But these photos, my little monkey-bar monkey are from what we consider the world playground capitol - Cary North Carolina! There is a playground better than anything in our city in every park! So of course it was a treat to come down to Cary with Daddy when he had a business trip - you were in playground heaven. Sometimes we even went to two or three in the same day! Description: I wanted to make an Advent Calendar for my daughter (3) this year instead of the little yucky chocolate cardboard ones. So, this is what I came up with. :) The toilet paper tubes are wrapped in patterned paper with numbers and embelishments adhered on the front. The tubes are stapled together. Inside each day's "tube" is a fun activity we will be doing together, a little treat and the days' Bible reading telling the story of Christmas! We're two days in now and my daughter LOVES it. :) Made using papers and embelishements from Melissa Bennett's Candy Cane Lane kit (red tissue and some sparkly embellies from the dollarama)

The recipes LO's were printed 4x6 and I placed them in a dollar store plastic photo album. PERFECT for cookie recipes that I get mucky every year! Yes, I let my nine month old baby climb the stairs. I let you do it all the time. I'm right behind you of course, in case you were to fall but you are the sturdiest crawler I've ever met! The first time you climbed the stairs a few weeks ago I admit it was a total shock - I was up in the kitchen stirring the chicken and dumpling stew while you were (I thought) playing nicely with some blocks while your sister watched "Go Diego Go" when all of a sudden, I heard a little panting noise behind me and YOU were sitting there on the kitchen floor staring up at me like you wanted to say "Surprise Mom!" Well you DID surprise me. You surprise me every day with the things you can do. Just be careful and remember to take your life one step at a time...

Description: Forest Explorers For SSD Recipe Challenge #41 (even photos, 2 papers, 2 alphas, 2 sentences of journalling) You and Gandpoo spent the morning hiking in SkaNahDoht hunting for mushrooms, small animals and birds to spy on with your binoculars. You also loved the bridges in the tree tops, and discovered the joy of collecting acorns to drop down in the stream below to make different sounds. I used a lot of different products by Melissa Bennett, at Sweet Shoppe Designs.
