Mothers Day 2021

Description: We nearly lost mum earlier this year, and as a result, she had a lengthy stay in hospital. She was still in hospital on Mothers Day, so Michael and Jen travelled down from QLD to see her. We had a lovely lunch in the gardens at the hospital, and then later that night went out for dinner. Looking back, this was my favourite day of 2021 as it was such a special day with mum, and I got to spend Mothers Day with my son for the first time in years. Description: I had a bad fall while gardening, back in October and broke my arm and wrist. The arm break was a good clean break, but the scaphoid bone below my wrist is shattered. I've never broken a bone before, and didn't even think it was broken at the time - I didn't go to the hospital til 3hrs later when my hand started swelling lol. Description: A redo of a previous layout that I lost in an EHD crash. A conversation that Ethan and I had recently: While at a clothes shop exchanging clothes that were too big. Ethan: WHAT!!! $99 Carolyn: Yes but I only paid $30 on sale - and adult clothes aren't as cheap as childrens clothes. When you grow up, your clothes will cost this much too. Ethan: No I don't want to grow up. Carolyn: Everybody grows up sooner or later Ethan: Not me, Ethan no grow up. Carolyn: But we don't have a choice, we all grow up eventually Ethan: *starts crying* but I don't want to grow up. Carolyn: *dawns on me why he doesn't want to grow up* Do you not want to grow up because you think you'll have to give your toys away. 2019 QLD Road Trip

Description: our trip to QLD in 2019 wasn't the best - it started off good, and we had a great time on the way up there. The day after we arrived though, mum ended up in hospital and stayed there for almost 2 weeks. My cousin flew up to get Ethan after a week, so that he didn't miss any school. The day after we got home I surprised him by picking him up from school. He saw me from the other side of the school, and screamed my name over and over until he was in my arms. This boy melts my heart day after day.
