I have been so inspired by the layouts I have seen (and the music I have listened to), I may have gotten a little too serious here...
' They say that smell is the most powerful trigger of memory, but I beg to disagree.
I believe only music..., a single recognizable tune..., has the capacity to tear a hole in time and consciousness.
Not only does music take us back to a place or moment in our lives, but it actually manifests the emotions and thoughts that accompanied it. Even if we forget, a song acts Like an external hard drive on which these moments, sweet or otherwise, are recorded.
So it follows that I must always seek new music, different songs, new material on which to record my life. It is not entirely for fear of overwriting the old files (though it has occurred to me), but to give each new moment the chance to become a recorded memory.
