I apologize if this grosses anyone out! I have had this photo for months and wasn't sure how to scrap it...this challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Journaling: This is what I find in my drain every time I take a shower. For the past 5 years I have been losing my hair at an alarming rate. What is to blame? PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Don't get me wrong, I have always shed some. This is different. Even after I wash my hair, this is what I get. Not good for someone who relies on her hair for security! Yep, that's right, I feel more secure having long hair. Maybe because I feel more hidden. So, one of my biggest fears is that someday, I might actually have bald spots. I know there are worse things in the world and that I'd survive...I guess I just don't want to think about it. But, the fear is always there and I'm reminded of it every single day. Hair loss sucks! Great page, Keela! I have PCOS too and am having the same problem, so I totally understand where you're coming from. My hair has been the one part of my body I've always been proud of and complimented on, so it's very difficult! Good for you for having scrapped about this and in such a powerful way. The colors you chose and the paint swipe totally give that desperate feeling you also convey in your journaling.

{{{keela}}} I know how you feel. Until my ovarian drilling procedure in 2001, my PCOS made the hair on my head fall out like crazy. I had to clean the drain after every shower or every time I washed my hair. oh, I know all too well how you feel!
