Journalling reads: Up until this year, our only Christmas Eve tradition, was to leave out a snack for Santa and his reindeers. Usually it was milk and a mince pie for Santa and carrots, water and magic reindeer food for the reindeers. Although last year Santa got custard creams, since we thought he must be sick of eating mince pies. This year Lukas got a tiny bit obsessed about chimneys and us not having one. So this year, we decided to start a new tradition and leave out a magical key for Santa. The key came with a special verse that read: Hanging on the door of our home, is a magical key for loan. We have no chimney for you to climb in, so please feel free to let yourself in. We are very excited that you will be here, we promise that we have been good all year. What a magical Christmas it would be if you left us some presents under our tree. Xmas 2009
