Journaling - Our Sacramento trip was such a wonderful time with family and friends. On Sunday morning we gathered at Chris and Kelly’s house for a fabulous brunch. Kelly made an amazing coffee cake, sausage, fruit, and good coffee with peppermint creamer! It was a real treat! Their home was charming and cute. With all of Kelly’s little touches it felt so comfortable and welcoming . The day felt like Christmas, with a big special brunch in the morning and then a family dinner that night celebrating Ronpa’s birthday, which was the next day. We gave everyone their Christmas gifts from us that night after dinner, and they gave us theirs too. It made me really miss living closer to them. I love my sisters and their little families! I only wish I did not miss this by living in Iowa. Dad and Kathy are in a really great place too. Really enjoying retirement in their new townhome. Kathy has done such an amazing job making it so cozy and fresh. Dad, of course, has worked tirelessly on the courtyard gardening, loving every minute of it and the results too! 12/13/09
