journaling: Brody had a bit of a rough beginning of his little life. He started out not gaining weight like his Doctor would have liked, so we visited every few days for weight checks. Then the girls passed on their cold germs & it made him even more sick than they were. We ended up being admitted to Mercy Mt Shasta, only to be sent on to UC Davis Childrens hospital. Thank GOD that there was no real diagnosis, other than a viral infection. This came after many tests, pokes & much monitoring. We still watch for symptoms that he exhibited when he was sick, because of some of the blood test results, they indicated possible hormonal/chemistry imbalances. Hopefully it was just the flue/cold bug & he won’t be visiting UCD again any time soon.
