Look closely at the invite in the picture to the right, and you will see it says we got married in the templo de la Divina Providencia in Colonia Casa Blanca, but not really! We originally planned on that church, but about one month before the wedding, our friend Paty Gomez asked if she could suggest
a more authentic Mexican” church meaning not the modern one we’had chosen. The church she suggested - Templo de San Isidro Labrador in Fracc. Pathe- turned out to be on the same street where Beto first asked me to be his girlfriend when I was living at the Senora Rosa’s house, so it seemed to be very appropriate to get married just down the street. Plus San Isidro was the perfect size for our 100 some guests - it really gave an intimate, close feeling to our wedding, besides being beautiful for all of our treasured wedding pictures. Plus I loved the fact that San Isidro was actually constructed in the 18th century! One of my favorite pictures of the wedding ceremony is the picture on the left which was taken from the balcony of the church. It’is so neat to have a birds eye view of us surrounded by our loved ones. The only regret I have is that we had already printed all our invites with the wrong church. It makes for a neat story though & there is no doubt God led us to San Isidro.
